Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adulthood

Abstract

Data from long-term follow-up studies in which children with ADHD were observed into adulthood have shown that symptoms persist into adulthood in some affected children. ADHD is therefore increasingly understood as a chronic, lifelong disorder.
