ADHD and personality

Abstract

In contrast to the disorder in children and adolescents, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults not only presents relatively atypically and is therefore often more difficult to recognize, but also rarely occurs entirely in isolation. Personality disorders (alongside chronic substance abuse) appear to account for a particularly high proportion, at up to 50%.
