Evaluation of the Neuropsychological Group Training ATTENTIONER for Attention Therapy with Children and Adolescents

Abstract
The neuropsychological group training ATTENTIONER to treat children and adolescents with attention deficit disorders allows the targeted treatment of attention control. The present study examined a sample of N = 17 boys and girls aged seven to13 years who participated in the ATTENTIONER-training. By means of theTAP thechanges in the attention control (Divided Attention andGo/Nogo 1 / 2 ) were investigated in a pre-pre-post design. In addition to improvements in the parallel processing of stimuli in particular the childrens inhibition skills increased significantly. This is of special importance to the role of impulsive behavior, such as for conduct disorders.
