Abstract
Procrastination—the postponement of unpleasant tasks to a later time—is a widespread form of work-related dysfunction among students. The present study is an exploratory investigation of procrastination among university students. The research questions were: How prevalent is procrastination among students at a German university? Which personal and study-related characteristics influence the extent of reported procrastination? How is procrastination related to depression, and which factors moderate this relationship? Can procrastination among students be attributed to the presence of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in adulthood?
