Abstract
Sleep disorders are a frequent accompanying phenomenon in hyperkinetic disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). At the same time, however, it remains largely unclear how often they occur concomitantly, whether they exhibit characteristics specific compared with other psychopathological disorders, and whether they are pathogenetically related to the development of the core symptoms of ADHD. This review presents the available research findings in detail.
