Abstract
Indicated prevention measures require screening instruments that identify early forms—in this case, externalizing problem behavior—with as little effort as possible. For this purpose, 13 items from the Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 4–18 (CBCL/4-18) were selected on the basis of various criteria for a short questionnaire intended primarily to assess externalizing behavioral problems in kindergarten children using a cross-informant scale based on parent and educator ratings (EL/ER).
