Abstract
The literature discusses whether the deficit in behavioral inhibition in children with ADHD is attributable to an executive-function disorder or whether disturbances in motivational processes lead to this deficit. Findings from experimental paradigms on neuropsychological and physiological parameters have so far been inconsistent (see Nigg 2001). The present study aimed to test experimental findings concerning an executive and/or motivational inhibitory deficit and impairments in emotion regulation using a newly developed experimental setup.
