Abstract

The aim of this work was to conduct a study examining the care needs of families with children affected by ADHD in Germany; no studies on this question had previously existed. Three samples were formed, two from data recruited by the authors and one from external data on chronically ill children. The influence of sociodemographic characteristics on perceptions of the care situation was examined, as was the relationship between perceived care needs and family burden, quality of care, and the child's quality of life.
