Intelligence and attention performance in boys with ADHD

Abstract
The performance of 85 untreated boys with ADHD aged 6 to 13 years was assessed on the Working Memory and Processing Speed indices of the HAWIK-IV, and the performance of a subsample of 68 children aged 6 to 10 years was assessed using the Test Battery for Attention Performance in Children (KITAP). In addition to comparing the results of these groups with normative values, the results of children with the combined and predominantly hyperactive-impulsive ADHD types and those with the predominantly inattentive ADHD type were analyzed separately.
